A range of forums restricted to registered Psychologists is offered on Psych-it.
These forums were created to bring members of the profession who live and work in many different parts of Australia close together more than ever before. Many Psychologists voice the need for a place in which they can interact with fellow professionals on common issues, such as unique cases, therpaeutic approaches, assessment tools or research procedures. The ability to consult and interact with a large number of colleagues has an obvious appeal- It ensures that we, professionals, talk to one another about what we do and why we do it. Not only do Psychologists benefit from this process, but so does the profession, and most importantly, our clients.

Many Psychologists work in relatively isolated settings. Many of us face situations in which we are very curious to know what would some of our respected colleagues do if they were in our shoes... Well, not anymore! Now, Psychologists can learn from one another ever more readily. To ensure that such interaction is done in a professional and safe space, these forums are restricted to registered or probationary Psychologists.

In order to be granted access to forums in this section, you will need to provide your forum username, the email address you have nominated during registration, and your psychologist registration number. If you have not registered for the forums yet, go back to complete your registration. These measures are necessary in order to ensure no person can use your registration number and gain access to the restricted areas. Once you submit the necessary information, you will receive a confirmation email that will enable you to activate your membership. Please allow up to 48 hours before the activation of your subscription is complete.

We look forward to your participation in our forums and hope you will find them useful and beneficial for you needs. Please feel welcome to contact us with any feedback or suggestions you may have regarding the professional forums.
